Kt Harrington is a dressage trainer from the Mankato area, working with horses from training level through FEI. She frequently clinics with Brad Cutschall of Landmark farm – a respected Grand Prix rider and trainer – in order to maintain a competitive state in her riding.
She has students showing from Intro level through Prix St. George, and she coaches eventing students through training level. Her aspiration is to encourage healthy and enjoyable riding through cultivating horse/rider relationships.
Her enthusiasm with horses began at a young age, prompting her to join Pony Club at age 6. Pony Club gave Kt a wealth of horse knowledge as well as leadership opportunities as a young adult. Her confidence grew over the years as she built upon her connections with her horses, and she continued to gain experience working with both people and horses under the supervision of acknowledged professionals. While advancing through the ranks of Pony Club she pursued an education at Minnesota State University – Mankato where she would eventually graduate with a BS in Communication Studies. Her Pony Club experience concluded at age 21 where she graduated at the level of HA.
After her graduation from Pony Club she kept working with highly-qualified, upper-level trainers. In addition, she worked for Red Mills where she sold horse feed which fostered a deeper understanding of balancing the health of horses through nutrition.
During her adult years she had the privilege of working with well-known equestrian Wim Foekema where she was able train with him in Minnesota during the summers and Florida over the winters. Her mentorship under Wim provided her continued growth as a rider and trainer. As a trainer, competitive equestrian, and a barn owner, the impact of this relationship is portrayed in her teachings to students.
In 2006, Kt opened Pegasus Circle Farm. She has worked diligently to make Pegasus Circle Farm a friendly, hard-working, and honest boarding facility. Today, that goal has culminated into an upper-level training facility that teaches horses and their riders the respect and communications skills necessary to excel in the equestrian discipline.
